Your host and hostess Don and Helen Forde live on this family run dairy farm, beautifully situated overlooking the Bandon River Estuary. Our home is a bright modern two storey farmhouse, centrally heated with open fires for those chilly evenings. There is a large sitting room for the use of guests, with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside, books to browse through and also a T.V. Enjoy a peaceful, refreshing rest in our quet spacious, centrally heated bedrooms with orthopaedic beds ,electric blankets,hairdryers and many little extras. Two twin bedded rooms ensuite with shower etc., both enjoying views over the farm and river,  and two  double bedded rooms also ensuite. To view our rooms go to our Rooms section.

Breakfast:

Enjoy a choice of breakfasts in our bright dining room with homemade breads. You can enjoy home produce freshly prepared by Helen in the kitchen. Choose from a large selection of breakfast specialities such as – Smoked haddock served with poached egg, Breakfast egg and cheese gratin, as well as our traditional West Cork Breakfast with no worries about carbon miles! 8km off the N71 at Innishannon Bridge, 12kms from Kinsale via the Ballinadee Road. Close to beaches, fishing, golf courses, Kinsale (Gourmet capital of Ireland) and beautiful West Cork. Ballinadee is located just 12kms/15 minutes drive from  the medieval town of  Kinsale, renowned for its many gourmet restaurants and famous for its pictureque harbour location.Enjoy browsing in its many art galleries and craft shops. Activities include fishing, deep sea angling sailing and harbour cruises.  Visit its many historic buildings amongst them are St Multose Church built in 1190, Charles Fort a 17th Century star shaped fort and Desmond Castle with its International Museum of Wine.

Ballinadee is only 10kms/12 mins from the thriving market town of Bandon with excellent shops and many restaurants. The Bandon river is one of Ireland’s finest salmon fishing rivers and salmon can sometimes be seen jumping the weir in the spring.

Kayaking, canoeing and wind surfing can be enjoyed locally at Garrettstown  blue flag beach.

Golf courses closeby include Ringenane and Farrangalway Kinsale, Bandon Golf club and of course the renowned Old Head Golf Links.

Lochinver Farmhouse is only 30mins from Cork  University City with its art galleries, museums, attractive shopping, theatres, The English Market and its historical cathedrals and churches.

Cobh, Blarney, Clonakilty and West Cork with all its attractions are all within 30 minutes drive.
